Good Morning, Hojai
*First competition*
Everybody have to face such Competition
and we called it "The First Competition"
First way. Baložu Bizons (www.balozubizons.lv) crossing in the forest. On the way home from the garden, I decided to enter the forest and try to convince the boys to run. Halfway through, I pushed into the required texts, but after several odd protests of dialogue (no, I don't walk, no, I don't want to and yes, I run, yes I want to), we got on track. We registered, tried to add numbers, but nothing. Great for reluctant numbers.
If I could still distinguish them without numbers, the judges would hardly be at peace with such a twist - two identical children on the track, moreover, without numbers :). Somehow, though, I noticed that the boys were persuading them to put the number on their back - they don't see them themselves, but the judge can fix them. We are waiting for the start and are going into the forest.
The first 3 stages and hops, both stand like salt poles - without any more races. We try to talk, story, story, story. In the slow soul we walk half the distance (about 250 meters) and then suddenly there is a click in Carl's head and he starts running. Run some 5m from the finish, stop and wait for me. I cannot leave Janis on the track alone to help Kārlis come to an end. So I am trying to bring kawaii's to cross the finish line from a distance of 100 meters, so there are judges at a distance of a few meters. Somehow it works and within minutes Janis and I are close to the finish line. The first finish is successful.
It was one of those times when I felt the real pride of parents for a job well done and started to understand why parents are so sympathetic to their children's activities.
Another way. A few days later we decided to try to participate in the bicycle summer organized by the Riga City Council (www.ritenvasara.lv), which takes place every Wednesday at Vijay Park. I looked around the program on the internet, speculated that our start might be around 6.30 pm and went after the children to participate in the contest in the garden. We went to the competition venue, registered, ready to start, talked to the boys that my mother would stay and waited for the finish, the boys would ride a bicycle, I would walk along.
In total, you have to cover a distance of about 1 km. We are waiting for the start signal and we are going on the track. After a distance of about 100 meters, Kārlis (probably) thinks that he will return the wheel and ride his mother. Our entire plan falls like cards. My mom has no choice but to run with the Kabulis, but as Kalbelis is about 20-30 meters away, Janis is sad about her run-up mom and nothing is possible from driving. So my mom has nothing left to run with the boys for a distance of about 2 km long :)
Third way. The Baložu Bison is running again and on the forest track. Assessing the experience of previous competitions, one realizes that everything will be fine with Kārlis, as he has already run and understood what is going on around him the last time. We are registering, waiting for commencement. Start, we start running and after a distance of 10 meters Kārlis stops, announcing that he will not run. Meanwhile, Janis and her mother are already away in blue and we are trying to talk about going to the finish line. Nothing comes from sensible conversation and we walk my mother again two laps
"Holidays with children - entertainment in Latvia."
This year, due to various coincidences, we failed to meet my girlfriend's sister in the Netherlands, so I took leave when she and her family were visiting Latvia. The biggest attractions and entertainment are, of course, our boys (3 years old), who may eventually meet their younger cousins (2 years old) and older cousins (5 years old).
A week before the holiday, I started looking for age-appropriate places for our children during the holiday. Unfortunately, it is difficult for 3-year-olds to find entertainment opportunities. I also asked a question on the mammamuntetiem.lv forum, but for the expected suggestion, I only received "thanks for the information".
Since the girlfriend's sister lives in Ventspils, the girlfriend's parents live in Kuldiga, we started with entertainment in the immediate area. It happened that my holiday began with the festival of Kuldiga city, during which children could participate in all kinds of attractions. Which includes Annals inflatable attractions. Despite the great heat, the children jumped into the attraction for about an hour. The children enjoyed running around the park of the Kuldiga Museum, which has recently undergone significant changes and has now become a pleasant place to walk. As soon as all the people passed through Kuldiga, they also had to start all possible water pumps and everything else which was turning and running.
day 1Beginning the first day of our journey in Ventspils we went to sea. Even though the wind was quite high, we got into the water and for a while the boys slipped and started playing with sand. For such young children, Ventspils beach is not very grateful, because the water depth of the first seed is quite large and, moreover, quickly becomes quite deep (about 50 cm, which is about the middle of a 3-year-old child Is) and the boys hardly liked the idea of going deep. In the water. So only Janis was left on the water, Kaveri was more involved in bringing the water to shore using a bucket. At one point I even tried to take the boys to the beach, but I had to bring them back as quickly as possible. When all the children lived on the sand of the shore, I managed to swim by bending myself for some time.
One of the things that usually cause problems is to move children from one activity to another. This is especially true with swimming, as children have a greater chance of getting dirty in the sand, so parents have to clean them again before dressing. This time, fortunately, we managed everything without hindrance, although the showers on the beach were quite strange due to the strong winds and because our boys do not like to blow water on their heads (we returned to the water park at this point Will).
After walking on the beach we went to the Children's Town. For older children there were plenty of attractions, but the eternal value - swing - was enough for all children to swing there. Also, general swings, various moving beams and machine tires. In the midst of all this, there is also a witch's house in a tree from where all the children were probably a little confused at the end (it seems that I was a little overwhelmed by my stories about witches).
After visiting Children's City, we went to my girlfriend's sister's house, where we put the children to sleep for a day. In fact, gianduia is one of the most important elements of travel planning. If you want to enjoy the journey, then you definitely need to plan where and how you will let the children sleep for a day, so as not to have to fight the kids' tantrums.
Day 2We spent the second day in Kuldiga, we also went to the countryside, where all the children agreed on a joint fishing tour. In the countryside the pond has herds of small and slightly hungry fish, almost ready to catch on bare hooks. When the children changed fishing rods and helped their parents throw the bait in the right places, our children were caught 27 fish with fishing rods in a very short time on their birthdays. After that, the entire catch was kindly released into the pond to grow back. Interestingly, fishing at this age is nowhere to entertain people. The other fun, of course, is the fish already caught in the bucket, which are constantly caught by hand, bringing insects and insects directly into the bucket. If only Mom had been next door, she certainly would have been, because at least she has told the children that she is afraid of fish and that it is like a green light for a boy to fish with his mother.
After sleeping in the afternoon, we lay right on the sandbox and swing in the backyard. Finally, I also realized that boys can stay somewhere for more than 20 minutes and they do not need to move around all the time. Instead, I think they were able to swing for an hour, so that another child waiting in line would not have to give itself a place in the swing.
Day 3We had decided to visit the Ventspils Aquapark. It turned out that the editor in the WhatsApp information newspaper forgot to write that the indoor water park (which has more entertainment for younger children) does not work from 1 July to 15 August. We left, watched and went to the open-air water park. We hadn't been to the water park with the boys before, so I didn't really know what we could do with them and what we couldn't do. We went inside peacefully and found an area for the youngest children. Depth of 30 to 50 cm with steps.

Our boys liked the depth of 30 cm, the chance to get into the children's boat, to pasteurize. Unfortunately, the frog's slippery hill was equipped with a fountain, which pours water from head to toe to children before leaving. As I wrote earlier, our children have a slight allergy to it, which resulted in this attraction going to us. What's more, Carl also had his first experience as a shock therapy, because when he climbed the hill, it didn't rain, but it started to rain when he was already sitting and ready to ride. , As a result of which he was very fearful and did not enter the attraction.
The boys had the opportunity to sit in the hot tub and spray themselves with jets of water from the octopus. I also tried to ride a big tube with the boys, but it was not a very good idea - the water 1.2 meters deep at the end of the tube was still too deep to successfully fall into the water and still keep the baby above the water keeps. Miraculously, I succeeded with Janis, but I had a moderate discomfort and concluded that it was definitely not a good idea.
After visiting Aquapark, we went to the Rainis Gardens, where the children ran again while we met around the garden and all possible spots - giant boots, hats, balls, buttons, various flies, big swings, sheep and other animals. Saw the flock of After visiting the garden, we again went to a nearby house.
After going to bed we went back to Kuldiga, where after a little relief we went on an evening bike with the children. Interestingly, they climbed each snail by bike and dumped them in the grass so that no one would climb on them. Small snails or snail babies were particularly excited.
Day 4
Although we had agreed to go from Kuldiga to Tervet Nature Park since morning, some shifts were waiting for my cousin and cousin. So initially we went on a short trip to the countryside, where the boys caught a pair of breakfast fish for the cat in the pond, which they also gladly condemned. Then a cousin came from Ventspils with his cousin and we were able to start for a very large number of T .rvete.
Once again, the route and travel time were adjusted for our children's sleep system. Soon after leaving Cassis he fell asleep, Janis became a bit difficult and he only slept shortly after Silas.
We reached Turvet sometime after two o'clock in the day and went inside the park at about one and a half. Initially, we went to the dwarf jungle, which was particularly dear to us as bearers of the same surname. On the way, we also met the mother of the dwarf, who treated us to pancakes and jam. Then we all went inside the possible dwarf houses, which were perfectly suited to the age of our children. They were everywhere, I just tried to enter the ground of the dwarf house, where I barely went in at one end and realized that the entertainment in this park is practically for the youngest audience :).
The most interesting thing about visiting the park at the age of 3 is the endless possibilities of explaining the child about all the procedures, telling the children a fairy tale, and educating the children. In the dwarf jungle, there are already many different crafts, each with a speaker for adults, which the child must tell. In this way I could tell the boys about carpenter, miller, sawmill and other jobs. With each new recreation in the park, I became more convinced that this park is for children of this age. I was just excited about the children's happiness.
We went to Pasaku Forest after Raise forest, but considering our late arrival at the park, we were already commanded in the Pasakaku forest, so we did not try to go to Sikkulis, which would be parked until 17:00. I had the same but only rubbed a bunch of shining coal... So we went to see both the empty devil's house and the empty witch's house.
Interestingly, Cornelis was so concerned about all the images that he was afraid to go inside the devil's summer house, asking us all to come out quickly. He didn't even want to go to the witch's house, but when he saw the Wolf Hut, he was about to run away with all his might. I just had to convince the poor man that these were good images (here, in fact, a speaker was also useful in the witch's house, where it was written that the witches were helping to find the missing children in the forest).
Finally, we went back to the car on the way for the second time, with snacks and water we took with us. During the entire walk, I took the boys in my arms at the exact end of the road for the last 100 meters. The rest of the time they either ran (today it was around 31C) or participated in some attractions to jump or climb. I still don't understand how they can handle it and where they take their energy from.
Passing through all the trails, periodically we saw a train passing the park. Since we were a bit lost in the Raganu Silas, we did not even get the last train stop. So that the children were not created by the train, talking to the driver, we decided that we would run a small circle around the dwarf forest. At the end of the event, we had a nice dinner at the cafe in the information center.
On the way to Riga, I always talked to the boys so that they would not fall asleep and sleep properly in their beds. During a conversation with Carl, we had met so far that he was ready to go back inside and climb both the Devil's Summer House and the Witch's House. Then sleep will be quiet and dreams will be sweet :)
At the moment, it is not clearly clear that if you do not have a 3-year-old T isrvete, you should go there as soon as possible. Great Family Entertainment.
